TECHNICAL EXPERTISE / LIQUID WATERPROOFING

Different technologies.
One selection discipline.

Liquid waterproofing is not one chemistry and it is not one standard build-up. The correct route depends on the substrate, moisture, movement, exposure, traffic, detailing and specification requirements.

THE SYSTEM LIBRARY

Choose the technical route before the product.

My liquid-waterproofing work covers three distinct manufacturer portfolios. They overlap in some applications, but their technologies, preparation requirements, reinforcement strategies and routes to guarantee are different.

SHARED SYSTEM COMPONENTS

Roof edge & detailing trims.

Pre-formed GRP trims are used to form drip edges, upstands, wall fillets, corners, cover flashings, expansion details and other roof terminations. These profiles can be used with a wide range of compatible liquid-applied waterproofing systems.

Compatibility first

Trims are system components—not waterproofing systems in their own right. The selected profile, preparation and installation method must be checked against the membrane and detail design.

ROOF EDGE + DETAILINGOne coordinated range. Multiple working profiles.
ACTUAL SUPPLIED RANGE

Choose the profile by the roof geometry and working dimension—not by the code alone. Standard straight profiles are supplied in 3 m lengths; F-series flashings are 20 m rolls.

01GUTTER EDGE / A-SERIES

Drip trims

Forms the lowest roof edge and directs water cleanly into the gutter.

02PERIMETER EDGE / B-SERIES

Raised edge trims

Creates a raised perimeter and prevents water from discharging over the roof edge.

B230 · 230 mm girth / 105 mm depthB260 · 260 mm girth / 125 mm depthB300 · 300 mm girth / 180 mm depth
03WALL FLASHING / C-SERIES

Simulated lead flashing

Forms a finished flashing face at masonry abutments without a separate topcoat.

C100 · 100 mm cover / 35 mm penetrationC150 · 150 mm cover / 35 mm penetration
04ROOF-TO-WALL / D-SERIES

Wall fillets

Creates the angled transition and expansion allowance where the roof meets a wall.

D260 · 135 + 70 mm fillet / 120 mm upstandD300 · 175 + 70 mm fillet / 120 mm upstand
05FLEXIBLE INTERFACE / F-SERIES

Flat flashing rolls

Used across wider interfaces, pitched-to-flat junctions and bespoke vertical details.

06CHANGES IN DIRECTION / AT-SERIES

Internal + external angles

Provides a repeatable internal or external angle at steps, kerbs and perpendicular surfaces.

Corners + closures

Completes corners, end closures and expansion-junction intersections without site-made mitres.

08RAISED JOINT / E-SERIES

Rolled lead-joint profile

Creates a traditional rolled-joint appearance while providing a formed movement detail.

E35/40 · 130 mm girth20 mm flanges · 40 mm height35 mm roll width
09MOVEMENT + WATER CONTROL

Expansion + drainage

Forms designed movement, ridge or integral drainage details on larger or more complex roofs.

E280 · 280 mm girth / 90 mm flange / 50 mm heightG180 · 180 mm girth / 30 mm flanges / 15 mm depth / 80 mm trough
10EDGE ENCAPSULATION / S-SERIES

Soffit trim

Wraps and finishes a deep concrete or structural deck edge.

Dimension note: codes describe the profile family; girth, depth, flange, cover and upstand dimensions describe the actual geometry. Final compatibility remains system- and detail-specific.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

One enquiry can involve more than one system family.

01System comparison

Compare the practical fit of Winkler, Res-Tec and Scott Bader technologies without treating products as direct equivalents.

02Build-up review

Coordinate substrate preparation, primers, reinforcement, edge details and final exposure.

03Installer support

Turn technical data and training requirements into a controlled site sequence.

04Project route

Identify when standard supply is appropriate and when specified or special-order systems are required.

TECHNICAL SCOPE NOTE

This library supports early system understanding and selection. It is not a project specification. Final selection must follow a substrate assessment, current manufacturer documentation, project requirements and an approved complete build-up.
