Res-Tec covers several related but distinct routes: flexible reinforced overlays, traditional GRP construction, rapid maintenance products and specialist surface coatings. Their apparent similarity at application does not make their technical function interchangeable.
Overlay, new deck and specified projects.
The central decision is whether the roof needs a flexible multi-surface overlay, a reinforced GRP build-up or the formal Platinum route for a specified project.
FLEXITEC
Full overlay · new deck · roofs + balconiesA rapid-curing, single-resin system combining flexibility with reinforced liquid-roofing performance. Its broad substrate capability makes the preparation and primer schedule a critical part of selection.
GRPROOF
OSB3 / OSB3 Zero · roofs + balconiesA reinforced GRP build-up using base resin, CSM reinforcement and a finishing layer. It is a complete system for new-deck work—not simply a resin coating.
FLEXITEC PLATINUM
Commercial specification · trained Platinum installersThe specified-project route for FLEXITEC technology, including certified applications that must follow the Platinum system requirements, approved build-up and project process.
GRPROOF PLATINUM
Specified projects · trained Platinum installersA BBA-certified reinforced GRP route for specified and warrantied projects. Access, installation and documentation follow the dedicated Platinum requirements.
I am trained across the Res-Tec systems shown. FLEXITEC Platinum and GRPROOF Platinum are available by special order and must follow the manufacturer’s dedicated project, installer and documentation requirements.
Repair products are not miniature roof systems.
RES KIT and ACRYLTEX provide practical targeted repair routes, but neither removes the need to identify the underlying cause, condition and remaining serviceability of the roof.
RES KIT
Fibre-reinforced · one coat · wet-condition capabilityA rapid repair product for emergency leaks, awkward details, core-sample repairs and local roof defects. It is a repair solution, not a replacement for full-roof condition assessment.
Official product page ↗ACRYLTEX
Fibre-reinforced acrylic · straight from the tinA one-coat maintenance product for fast repairs to flat roofs, pitched roofs and gutters. Its role is targeted repair rather than a fully designed reinforced roof system.
Official product page ↗Protection, traffic and appearance.
The coatings range performs functions beyond primary roof waterproofing. Each product needs the correct existing surface and a clearly defined purpose.
RESGUARD
A protective coating system for restoring existing metal roof sheets, including corrugated and standing-seam roofs. Sheet condition, corrosion treatment, primers and local detailing remain part of the system.
Official product page ↗RESGRIP
A rapid-curing hybrid MMA anti-slip coating with pre-dispersed aggregate for trafficked surfaces. It provides the wearing and slip-resistant finish; the substrate and waterproofing below still require separate assessment.
Official product page ↗RESCOAT
A rapid-curing hybrid MMA aesthetic and UV-resistant coating for aged GRP and compatible systems. It refreshes colour and appearance but is not specified as the primary waterproofing layer.
Official product page ↗RESGUARD protects metal roof sheets. RESGRIP creates a trafficked anti-slip finish. RESCOAT rejuvenates colour and UV performance. None should be presented as a direct substitute for FLEXITEC or GRPROOF.
Generic trims, selected around the detail.
Drips, upstands, wall fillets, angles, flashings and outlets are supplied as compatible roofing components rather than as a Res-Tec-branded trim range. They can support multiple liquid systems when the product, preparation and interface are compatible.
Training matters most when it changes the site method.
Separate overlay, new-deck, repair and coating requirements before materials are priced.
Match preparation and priming to the existing roof and the selected resin technology.
Control catalyst, reinforcement, detailing, weather window and application sequence.
Coordinate special-order supply with the required specification, trained installation and documentation.
This page describes the Res-Tec systems covered through my training and professional work. It is not a project specification. Final selection must follow a roof assessment, current manufacturer technical data, applicable certification, installer requirements and an approved complete build-up.
