PITCHED ROOFING + BUILDING ENVELOPE / EUROVENT

CURRENT SYSTEM MAP32 COORDINATED COMPONENTS

A membrane is only continuous when every junction is sealed.

Eurovent brings the external roof layer, internal air and vapour control, tapes, primers, window interfaces and service penetrations into one coordinated envelope strategy. The correct product starts with its position and responsibility—not its colour or weight.

THE SYSTEM PRINCIPLE

Continuity matters more than the number of products.

A high-performance underlay cannot compensate for an open overlap, an unsealed cable or an internal vapour-control layer that stops at the wall. This range is organised by control-layer responsibility so that the field areas and the details can be selected together.

01 / EXTERNAL CONTROL LAYERS

Six routes for different roof, wall and covering conditions.

Weight is only one characteristic. Substrate, roof pitch, full boarding, covering type, temporary exposure, vapour behaviour and installation risk determine the correct membrane.

UNIVERSAL ROOF + WALL MEMBRANEHOME PRO

Three-layer, highly vapour-permeable and windproof membrane for pitched roofs, full boarding and closed façade systems.

A versatile route where one external membrane family must coordinate roof and wall continuity.
≈135 g/m²Sd ≈0.02 mW1SK2 option
HIGH-STRENGTH ROOF MEMBRANEFORTIS

Robust three-layer underlay for insulated and ventilated pitched roofs, including fully boarded roof constructions.

Selected where handling strength and resistance to installation damage carry greater importance.
≈190 g/m²Sd ≈0.02 mW1SK2 option
FULL-SURFACE SELF-ADHESIVE MEMBRANESUPER SA

Vapour-open, windproof membrane with an acrylic adhesive coating across the complete underside for timber, CLT and prefabricated construction.

Designed around direct adhesion to prepared wood-based substrates; mineral and porous surfaces may require PRIMER.
≈280 g/m²Sd ≈0.10 mW1SYSTEM SA
METAL ROOF SEPARATION + DRAINAGEMETALLIC

Highly vapour-permeable membrane with an integrated separation mesh beneath standing-seam metal roofing and metal façades.

Creates a ventilation and drainage space beneath metal rather than acting as a conventional smooth underlay alone.
≈450 g/m²Sd ≈0.02 mW1Drainage layer
REINFORCED LOW-PITCH ROUTEXSTRONG

Four-layer, mesh-reinforced roof membrane for insulated pitched roofs, full boarding and demanding installation conditions.

Low-pitch suitability still depends on the roof covering, exposure, detailing and current project limits.
≈250 g/m²Sd ≈0.04 mW1>4000 mm H₂O
VENTILATED ROOF FOILSPECIAL

Micro-perforated, lower vapour-permeability reinforced foil for ventilated, uninsulated pitched roofs.

Not for full boarding. In an insulated roof it requires at least a 50 mm ventilation gap and must not touch the insulation.
≈110 g/m²Sd ≈1.0 mW3Ventilation gap
IMPORTANT DISTINCTIONSPECIAL is not a direct substitute for a highly vapour-permeable membrane.

Its lower vapour permeability changes the roof build-up: insulated applications require a ventilated void, the foil must not contact the insulation, and it is not intended for fully boarded roofs. That difference must stay visible at selection and installation stage.

02 / INTERNAL AIR + VAPOUR CONTROL

Choose by moisture strategy—not by the word “vapour barrier”.

Active, reinforced and reflective layers carry different Sd values and different responsibilities. The design should account for construction type, internal humidity, drying potential and junction continuity.

ACTIVE VAPOUR CONTROLCLIMA

Two-layer internal membrane with active vapour-control behaviour for roof and wall constructions.

≈85 g/m²Sd ≈10 mW1SK2 option
REINFORCED ACTIVE VAPOUR CONTROLCLIMA X

Three-layer active membrane reinforced with PE mesh and certified as a Passive House component.

≈115 g/m²Variable Sd ≈2–16 mphASK2 option
REINFORCED VAPOUR BARRIERSPECIAL N

Polymer-mesh reinforced internal foil for ceilings, roofs and walls where a robust high-resistance layer is required.

≈110 g/m²Sd ≈40 mW1Reinforced
VAPOUR-INSULATION FOILSILVER N

≈90 g/m²Sd ≈40 mW1Reinforced

03 / BONDING + SEALING

Each tape is selected for a substrate, exposure and movement condition.

Internal or external use, UV exposure, application temperature, carrier type, adhesive chemistry and surface preparation all affect the durability of the joint.

PRIMER IS CONDITIONALUse it when the substrate needs it—not as a substitute for preparation.

Loose, dusty, fibrous or absorbent surfaces may need Eurovent PRIMER before compatible tapes or sealants. The substrate must still be stable, dry and clean, and material compatibility must be checked before full application.

04 / WINDOWS, FAÇADES + PENETRATIONS

Inside controls air and vapour. Outside manages weather and drying.

Window tapes, EPDM strips and formed collars are not accessories to add at the end. They are the components that carry the control layers through changes in material and geometry.

MOISTURE STRATEGY What Sd value and drying route are required by the complete roof or wall build-up?

  3. 03

SUBSTRATE Is the surface smooth, porous, dusty, fibrous, metal, timber, masonry or an existing membrane?

  4. 04

EXPOSURE Is the joint internal, external, temporarily UV exposed, behind an open façade or installed in cold conditions?

  5. 05
